The Building Design & Construction Services group at M'Guinness & Associates is a team of construction professionals who specialize in assisting homeowners, interior designers and contractors achieve their goals by providing guidance and execution with design, project costing, scheduling and construction.

Jim M'Guinness leads the team and has been involved in all aspects of construction and design for over 30 years. From multimillion dollar custom homes to small modest remodels and repairs Jim's goal is to help people maneuver through the entire design and building process within the client's budget.

Jim is a California licensed general contractor and holds a certificate in building inspection. He also is an advanced AutoCAD designer/draftsperson. Jim does not use his contractors license to contract construction with clients, he uses his past experience as a contractor to concentrate on design and drafting. This approach and with these qualifications help provide a straight forward approach to design to define the project accurately to allow the client to be in control of the end result and construction cost.
